At times the two — the conscious and the non conscious — employment side by side with one another; at times they go through stretches of opposition and resistance, either since they don’t hear each other, know or desire to listen. At those times there is no effective collaboration, each part wanting different things. You the rider will never achieve complete control over the whale, and neither will you ever completely know it.
